A crossed vision of South Africa by Célia, Anne and Ilona

In February all the second classes went in South Africa, but not at the same moment. The A and B left the 6th feb and the C the 13th. Their programs weren’t exactly the same. All the classes visited the Apartheid museum on the first day and went to sci-bono they also went to Museum Africa. They had a walk to Mandela Square and went to a craft shop where they lost a lot of money because they weren’t good to negotiate. After, the A and B went to an amusement park where they visit a gold mine and did many attractions but not the C who went to Pretoria. The mood in the dormitory rooms was very enjoyable and at midnight the girls tried to find the Wi-Fi password (very geek), the directors of the youth hostel was very cool with the A and B because they were polite they always called the girls “my angel” but the C were very rude.

Finally they all have something in common, this trip was amazing and they enjoy it.

One day in Johannesburg by Alix and Jean-Michel

About a month ago we went on a school trip to South Africa and we spent the last day of our journey in the Amusement Park “Gold Reef”, which is in front of the Apartheid Museum. The park had been built on a former gold mine which we visited the same day.

On the mine we had to wear helmet, so we were very ugly. In fact we went at 70 meters underground on an elevator. When we finished visiting the mines we waited a bit before entering the park.

Most of us chose to go on the most thrilling rides such as: the Anaconda, the Golden Loop and the Tower of terror.

Everyone enjoyed the park and its attractions, even thought some of us were scared to go on them (in fact some people cried, others just closed their eyes during the tours…).

The teachers who were with us enjoyed this day just as much as we students did. Indeed it was THAT awesome.
